This week we welcomed pupils back into their new classes at Ferry Lane and have had a fantastic start to the academic year. All of the children have settled into their classes really well and have enjoyed getting to know their new teachers. There have been a variety of activities going on throughout school, with children establishing their class rules for the coming year and thinking about what they would like to achieve this year.
Here are some photos from the last few days:
Year 1 have been busy working on a range of activities in their new classroom, from construction to reading…
Year 2 enjoyed designing underpants, to launch the book they are reading, ‘Aliens Love Underpants’…
Year 3 were busy getting messy and making fish bookmarks…
Year 4 were concentrating hard on their writing task…
Year 5 were also focussed on their writing, writing postcards to the new Year 6 children…
… while Year 6 were sketching their class portraits.
We are looking forward to welcoming our new Nursery and Reception children in the coming days.
