Ferry Lane, very proudly, had been selected as one of the finalists to pitch their ideas (Dragon’s Den style!) to a panel at City Hall – where the Major of London works! 10 children from year 5 (known as The Green Team) presented their idea for a social action project. Their idea was to clean up litter from the local community and the River Lea and make it a nicer place to be. They were successful in securing £1500 which will be spent on a big community clean up day and on a bench and flowers to put by the river with a plaque reminding community members to be kind to the environment. This is fantastic news and a wonderful achievement, everyone at Ferry Lane is extremely proud of the Green Team!
