Year 6 girls attend STEM science fair

TeenTech Science Fair

Year 6 were invited to the Emirates Stadium to take part in an event led by TeenTech – an organisation that seeks to engage young people, particularly girls, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects. The pupils made buildings for a ‘City of Tomorrow’ and these were judged alongside buildings made by other students that had travelled from as far away as Scotland. The idea was to design something that would overcome problems with city living including space, sanitation and health and wellbeing. Ferry Lane won the categories of ‘Most Accessible’ and ‘Best Outdoor Space’ and these certificates are displayed proudly in the Year 6 classroom.
