It was Car Free Day in London and other parts of the country on Saturday 22 September, and so pupils at Ferry Lane supported this idea. It is good for the environment as it encourages everyone to think of ‘greener’ ways to travel.
Pupils designed posters to warn staff not to use their cars last Friday and informed them that there would be fines in place if anyone was caught driving.
Throughout Friday pupils monitored the staff car park and issued fines of £1 to everyone who broke the rules! There have been at least 12 culprits and all monies raised will be donated to charity!
